This school year our pupils from 5. a class and 5. c class together with their teachers Ivana Hrastović Mandarić and Snježana Krišto participated in an international eTwinning project A Journey through the Water. It has been an exciting virtual journey in which we explored some fascinating places presented by our project partners from all over Europe: the seas, the rivers and the lakes. It was exciting to watch the videos of different watery places and to share experience in various project tasks. Our choice was to present the River Drava which flows near our city Đakovo, Croatia and to explore its natural diversity, flora nad fauna. Through learning and exploring about different natural watery sites our pupils have also become aware of the great necessity to preserve these beautiful natural places and keep them clean and safe. The project had a great value for our pupils in many aspects: they learned historical and geographical facts about different watery places, improved their knowledge of English language, improved their digital competence and practiced digital tools and shared knowledge through cooperation in project tasks. In the final phase of the project pupils made videos of the virtual journeys and presented their chosen watery places, also they collaborated in Our Watery Places task and created an interesting presentation. Here are the links to two videos made by pupils of 5. a and 5. c class from Vladimir Nazor Primary School, Đakovo, Croatia.
